HEAD's'LINED WITH MEDIOCRITY

Just read this story guys. Here's the link, if you find the font here too small... DUMBASS HEADER
BY HERALD REPORTER

Emphasising on the need to strengthen the Goa State Fire Services, Home Minister Ravi Naik on Thursday said the same was required in view of the growing industrialisation and number of high-rise buildings in the State.
Naik was speaking after reviewing the passing out parade of 34th and 35th batches of recruit fire fighters at Fire Force Headquarters, St Inez, here.
The Home Minister said one way to strengthen the Fire Services was to equip the department with latest equipment. Later, he, along with Chief Secretary, got a taste of the equipment employed by the Fire Services during emergency operations.
He said, “Goa Fire Services had the potential of training firefighters from around the country and we could look at how best we could set up a full-fledged academy for the purpose. I will ask the CS to take up the matter with the Centre.”
Chief Secretary J P Singh praised the fire personnel for their fast action during the heavy spell of rains by saying, “Fire Services personnel were the first ones to reach the spot of disaster. They have set a benchmark of performance which all should emulate.”
Director Fire Services Ashok Menon administered the oath to the new recruits. Outstanding recruit cadets were presented with certificates by the Home Minister.

Question one... do you guys really think a story like this should be allowed to eat up space in a newspaper?
Question two... What is a header like this really trying to say 'Minister emphasises need to strengthen State fire services'...
Headlines should be as layered as this one here. This appeared in the Herald too and deals with the Dhavalikar brothers story. (Hey in terms of nuisance value these guys -- the Dhavalikar brothers -- appear to be vegetarian versions of the hulky Churchill brothers na?)
'Thodi khushi, thoda gham for Dhavlikars'... We only wonder whether its gham (sorrow) they are talking about, or is it gham (sweat)? The latter makes more sense doesn't it?
