Any reader of literature will have been reminded of George Steiner's novel, The Portage to San Cristobal of A. H., of which this hoax is really no more than a pale imitation...

PP is yet to take cognisance of the Soiru assault! Was it real or just a stage managed drama for the BJP by one of its admirers along with his TOI buddy???
It appears that he was apparently trying to aggravate teh tense situation when the first BJP attempt to provoke passions failed. So also why was he shifted from Hospicio to GMC, Bambolim when the doctors claimed the tests had shown nothing wrong? Who diagonised him? An ex-Herald staffer alleges Soiru was assaulted by notorious cop Jivba Dalvi? Is this true?

A Masterful stroke!

voila! well done. What better way to expose the "news" organizations than to let them do it themselves. In considering that the Indian media was incompetent I had perhaps overrated them till now - They aren't just incompetent. They are imbeciles.

bravo

This was sheer genius. As a Goan and journalist too, I daresay I didn't expect this sophistication, and imagination from a bunch of Goan bloggers.

Great idea- we needed this badly. I did read the story but never imagined it was fake - though it struck me as odd. just goes to show how gullible we journalists are as well.

Brilliant!!! I think we'd all come to expect and accept poor journalism in India and this is case to point. Sadly, this will not change anything.

Great job in exposing the lies & ineptitude of the Indian media. My hats off to you guys. The zeal should be intermingled with caution so as not to end up hurting anybody, and you seem to have done that very well indeed.

You guys certainly deserve much more media attention, especially for this particular expose. Every average-Joe should know about you guys & simultaneously be careful of what the media feeds us.

Keep it up..!
