THE DUTT STRUT
Dutt power
If you had any doubts about Barkha Dutt’s clout in the media world consider this: she wrote a column for the Hindustan Times which the current editor in chief thought was a plug for the TV channel she works for. He wrote her to that effect whereupon she retaliated by stopping her column. Proprietor Shobhana Bhartia then stepped in. She got the editor to write and placate the queen of TV news, who then resumed her column.

I don't give a damn for this scribe. The talk show she hosts on NDTV is filled with advertisement breaks, constant interruptions by her and worst of all, the debates conducted by her are inconclusive.
As far as the reportage of Goa is concerned, the reporter (like Priyanka Kakodkar and others) that is apparently flown to Goa has severe local language as well as ground reality issues.
She should read the post dated Sunday, July 15 2007 listed below. It will help her to get an insight into what people think about some scribes' reports.
And hoot stopped at just that. Shobhana Bhartia asked the editor to apologise. He called up Ms Dutt who refused to accept a "verbal apology". She insisted that since the editor had written to her when he had to "hurl insults" should apologise to her in writing. She was obviously obliged.
Anon 1 & 2 thanks for you inputs
