FLASH BACK

Here's an entry from a reader guys... Seems like someone knew R... A.... a while back... The reader recounts some memories here...

R... A... is an Editor by default.
As a PR man I remember him being a stubborn child if his gift voucher was not given to him. He was known as the typical chequebook journalist, "pay now and I'll do later". He would then be seen frantically scurrying around the India Today Newsroom in Mumbai getting stories planted/ For Sahara's Amby Valley Project, he had pocketed quite a neat amount. O Herald bosses who pride in the historical significance of their newspaper could have chosen someone better.
By the way, in the recent political crisis R... A... was caught between the Devil (Digambar) and the Deep Sea (Parrikar), he was last seen sending frantic feelers to the former after Supreme Court's directive yesterday. O Herald management should have a crisis management course too as a part of the orientation programme of its Editors.

hey thanks for writing back man... we dont hate the herald man... we have or are working there... its just that the paper is being abused and misused and is manned by thoroughly incompetent folks... having belonged to it, we feel strongly about it. And vis a vis this reference to choppy, we have no axe to grind against anyone. If we get some genuine dope against choppy, we will print it
thanks again
