ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING...

Comment from a reader...

Herald features two special sections one called 'Just a minute' the other 'pinch of salt'. The writer remains anonymous.

Today he/she/they are singing praises about Elvis Gomes from Corporation of City of Panaji. They cleverly forget to mention that he was the officer responsible for failure to collect Rs. 1 crore as bank guarantee from Crosschem international to re-float MV River Princess. He was even suspended by H.E the Governor Jamir.
How come this writer, has the gall to post a photo of what appears to be the River Princess along the article?
Does anyone know who writes these 2 silly columns? Are there guys related to Elvis from Cuncolim in the Herald? Was any one fed with Chilly Chicken & Officers' Choice? or cash?
Who are these crooks?

You sure of the name Anon 1? Cause most of the columns are handled by Herald staffers themselves, other than a woman named Bevinda

so you seem to say that Elvis Cuncolim connection has reached to the Herald head office.
Guilherme Almeida Herald senior reporter is from Cuncolim.

Here are some excerpts of the article along with my comments in brackets.

An efficient administrator (How does this writer come to the conclusion that he is efficient? Has he/she interviewed other officers? What are the parameters used to judge efficiency?) who has worked on several projects like working to remove the ship M V River Princess (Oh fish !! Don't forget to write your last will; because that Princess has severely damaged the shore gradient)...help make Vasco plastic free (He has not introduced anything new there...If it were true all municipalities would have followed the Vasco model for plastic disposal. It has not been introduced in Panaji. Worse still, the High Court has taken suo motto cognisance of the Goa365 report of roadside garbage disposal at Panaji)...

However, he made one mistake and that is standing for the Goa Football Association election (Can a bureaucrat stand for elections without resigning? Take the case of ex PWD eng. Filipe Neri Rodrigues. This is done to prevent conflict of interest)

I wouldn't be surprised if officers such as Sandip Jacques, N. D. Agrawal, Sanjit Rodrigues(this guy has relatives in the Herald) or even DIG Ujjwal Mishra, would be featured this Sunday, in these columns!

Would you ?

Elvis is the Blue eyed Boy of all rogues & rascals that live either in Altinho or work at Alto Porvorim...Strange how journos missed out the fact that he is building a 12 lakh rupee biogenerator plant in 40 lakhs in the heart of Patto Plaza across Rua de Ourem without Pollution Control Board permission, Town & Country Planning permission, imagine generating explosive methane gas at Patto to set afire Panaji with Panajikars not knowing & Corporation Workers protesting his transfer. I love Panjim & I love Elvis.

Anon 6: You say there is a reckless, law breaking, money laundering, life endangering rogue?

Suddenly you say that you "love" him?! (Strange)

Don't be fatalistic anon...er...um... unless if you are Nero.

Journos have missed out even more. When Elvis joined the Mormugao Municipal Council, around the year 2003, he sanctioned a 14 inch diametre naptha pipeline right on the beach.

Zuari Idustries Ltd, had tried to bury it in the sand( on the shore). However, with the effects of the tides it surfaced.

There was even movements at the joints. With constant fatigue and stress to the pipe there is a danger to highly volatile & combustible naptha anhilating the people.

This guy has now come to haunt the residents of Panaji.

Penpricks: These Herald guys appear to be reading your blog. On today's edition, (pg 15, 'with a pinch of salt by whistleblower') in the story titled 'CCP workers, ready for legal battle', this guy/gal has plagiarised your title namely 'Elvis has left the building' (Ha ha ha)
